Tuesday, Part 2

On our drive to Odessa, James and I were discussing Brother Ray Jones and his marriage situation. He’s one of our members here in Andrews, but he lives in the country of Turkey now because he wanted to reconcile with his wife who lives over there. He had been stationed there in the military as a young man and married a Turkish girl and they’d been separated for years. Anyway, James made the statement, “He got married in Turkey…” and the backseat burst into hysterical laughter. The kids—especially Joe—thought it was hilarious. Joe repeated, “he got married in Turkey!” Then, after more laughter, “And it’s not even Thanksgiving yet!!!” I don’t know what kind of picture they had in their heads of somebody getting married “in Turkey,” but it must’ve been something grand! Ha!

Then there’s Katie. She was yodeling “I Will Enter His Gates” all day long. Very interesting. You should try it some time!

How’s this for a short post?!
