No, really--I don't. I'm only here to impress my mother. I figure 4 days in a row would be pretty wowing. So, Mom, are you wowed???
Besides, having nothing to say has never stopped me before. ;-)
Hhmmm. We had big plans today, but most of them didn't pan out. We got into school a little earlier than usual because we were going to head into town early for church tonight to take care of some business ahead of time.
We were planning on voting today (better now than next month when the rest of the world tries to cram it in), but then we realized we'd have to go into downtown Albuquerque to do it. It's not worth that, so we decided to wait until next Saturday when we can go vote at a little office here in the mountains.
We were also planning on going to Home Depot to check out ceramic tile for the bathroom. But then we got to figuring how much it was going to cost for the smaller tiles (12"-ers would be way too hard in this strange little room) and it was wa-a-a-a-a-ay more than we thought we wanted to pay, so we re-evaluated our plan and decided to have wood laminate installed in there as well. That, of course, required another call to good ole' Wade, the flooring guy. We're practically old buddies by now, what, with all the chatting we've been doing lately. I think I'll be much happier with this anyway. If I can keep the kids from flooding the bathroom and ruining it, that is.
With those two things marked off the list all we had left to do was go to the library and then grab a bite to eat before church. We should have known better than to try to eat before service--Sister Grimes' daughter always seems to have plenty of something cooked, baked, or bought to serve everybody afterwards. Tonight it was taquito's. ANYWAY, we were able to spend a decent amount of time at the library, which is so much better than having to rush. With Joe along we need all the extra time we can manage! That kid will take 10 minutes to pick out a book. He's big into looking things up on the computer and it drives me crazy. It wouldn't be so bad if he really needed the computer, but everything he looks up is on the same shelf: lizards, snakes, centipedes... He'll find a book on the computer, then follow the numbers to that very same shelf over and over again. Why not just go look on that shelf?! Somehow he's not interested in any of them unless he finds them on the computer first. He got plenty of creepy-crawly books again this time. Katie got some how-to-draw books, as did Sam. There will be lots of interesting pictures of dinosaurs and Garfield laying around the house this week.
We drove into town and spun around in circles for quite some time trying to decide where to eat. We finally ended up at Dion's Pizza just in time to scarf down one piece before rushing over to Sister Grimes' house for service. We had another good Bible study--I think we've only got one lesson left and we'll be done with this BTI book and move on to the next.
And that's about it for our not-so-exciting day. Katie has said a few oh-so-funny or adorable things in the past few days, but I'm not sure they'd transfer well on paper. She's so expressive and it's hard to recreate it with words alone, you know?! Oh well. I'd better start taking pictures again, I guess. They always get the point across with minimal effort. :-)
