Hey, people! (I say that as if I actually expect anybody to read this!) This is my very first time "blogging" (who came up with that word, anyway?!) and I'm just kind of testing the waters. So many of my friends have these things up and going, so I got to feeling kind of left out. Not really. It's just that I never seem to be able to stay caught up on my e-mails and thought this would be a great way to "cheat" my way to being more "in touch" with my friends. Of course, that only works if they take the time to read it. So to those of you who are actually perusing this site, a big hearty THANK YOU! You are helping me to be a better friend! I could never do this without your support. While I'm at it I'd like to thank the Academy and my producer... (oh, brother).
I don't want to take too much time writing, since I'm not even sure how to shoot this message out into that vast abyss known as cyberspace. And I'm counting on YOU -- whoever you are -- to take the time to comment (even just this ONCE, if that's all I can get out of you!), just so I'll know whether I should continue blogging (there's that word again), or abandon the mission before take off. I'd hate to be neglecting my kids to BLOG my life away, all the while thinking that somebody out there is neglecting their kids to read it -- and just be deceiving myself the whole time.
So let me know if you're really out there! Or if I'm really out there. I feel so lost. Help me! Somebody, he-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-elp me-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e!!!!!!!

I'm reading. My kids are in bed, not neglected. So no need for you to wallow in guilt. ;-) And now... you get to guess WHO this is that's reading. HA HA!

Hey, no fair!!! Isn't that against the rules or something?! "Anonymous?!" That's so wrong! And as a matter of fact, it IS against the rules -- this is my BLOG and I can make the rules, right?! Of course right!!! NO MORE COMMENTING UNLESS YOU'RE WILLING TO IDENTIFY YOURSELF!!! How do I know you're friend, not foe?! Some people have got a lot of nerve...

Look at me! Reading away at the BLOG! Neglecting my kids, JK... You are so funny! Loved it. Would never find the time or know-how to do it myself. Best of luck to you!

guys,... I think something fell..

Oh my goodness! Your actually doing it! I'm excited! I'm going to love reading your blog and feeling more connected to you! And so you know I usually blog after the kids are in bed.

Hey Sweetie, my kids are big enough to take care of themselves, however, my husband might be feeling a little neglected. hee hee!

Your blogs are going to be hilarious. You have such a way with speech. Love ya...

Alright, what's the deal?! Commenter #5 broke the rules and went anonymous on us... CHEATER!!! All in all, I'm excited about the response -- It means I've got at least 7 friends!!! No, wait... one of those comments was from myself. Make it six. And I'm not so sure that the two who refuse to identify themselves can really be counted as FRIENDS. I'm clueless on the first one, but #4... Roach, is that you?!
By the way, thanks for the info, Grace, but I still think BLOG is a really dumb word. I wish you could hear the emphasis in how I pronounce it. It sounds much like something that should've been in The Princess Bride -- "The queen of slime! The queen of muck! The queen of putrescence! The queen of BLOG!!!"

Hi. Knew you were swamped when the emails stopped. I do pray for you guys. Hope to see you at the Assembly. Love, Vicki

Well, public ID might get me into trouble. ;-) But I'll give you the answers to three questions... (this is anonymous poster #1 again)

Rrrrrggggg. This is SO not fair. If I knew anything about BLOGGING, I probably wouldn't have to put up with this, right?! There's probably a way to deal with rotten "anonymous" people like you... Three questions, you say. My first is, "WHAT IS YOUR NAME???," but I'm guessing you won't answer that so... what time zone do you live in??? (Is that vague enough for you?!)

A new day, a new BLOG?! Surely you jest. If you think I'm going to sit down and "post" something new everyday, you're out of your gourd. Who has time for that?! Except those dippy teen-agers?! (No offense, of course -- I really LIKE dippy teen-agers!) I don't mind adding a comment here and there, but I certainly have no intention of creating a brand new post every day. Good grief, Ma -- you've gone whole hog into this thing. "Right now, you're scaring me a little bit!"

Hey! cute picture. There is a way to block A. comments. Go to your dashboard and click on "change settings". Than on that page click on the tab that says "comments". That page is where you will be able to block A. comments. You can also fill in your e-mail address and have the comments sent to your e-amil. That is kinda nice.

HI!!! Sister Kasey here...from Papa Wilda's region. I am in TN now...*missing Idaho really bad!*
I blog every day...not a dippy teenager though :P hehe. I just have no kids and work has been slow...so ya know, I've got the time! Check my blog out (I happen to think that is a weird word as well!)

Kasey, Sis. Smith knows of what she is speaking...she helped me when I HAD to move to Colorado from Oklahoma. Of course, I was a little more hard-headed, so it took much longer for her wisdom to sink into my brain, which meant that I was miserable for much longer than I needed to be. Since then, I've remembered that wisdom every time we have had to move and it makes it so much easier to adjust to the new places that we have lived. "Bloom where you are planted!!!"

Oh I'm not miserable! Sorry if I gave that impression! hehe...Actually I won't move back to Idaho (or should I say "we") unless God tells us to. Until then, it's TN for me! I just miss them time to time, and today is one of those days. I actually usually get to go home about every 3-6 months. I can't make up my mind of where I wanna go, TN or ID. But I guess it really doesn't matter until God tells us HUH! Could be timbucktwo for all I know! hehe

:) I love it when new ppl start their own blog, funny.

Who says you have to blog every day? I try for once a week.

FYI, Blog is short for "web~log".

*in dippy teenager voice*

Like hi Rebekah! Like Welcome to totally cool blog land. I hope you like have a bloggy time. ;)

*cough cough*

Okay.... I blog everyday and I am not a dippy teenager. My mind may say different but my body is SCREAMING NO! LOL!!

Anyway... Welcome! This should be interesting. I am still flipping out that Sister Smith has one!! LOL!! It is a GREAT way to fellowship and fuss and share your heart and joke. I predict you will be hooked in no time with closer relationships!

And James will be hearing the word blog a lot more in your conversations too. Danny did and it made him make his own. :P

Hollah! <~~you have to "act" cool and hip now. ;)
~Wen

Kasey, I didn't mean that YOU were miserable, I meant that "I" was miserable until I learned that lesson. Like I said, I was a mite hard-headed back then and it took me longer to follow good advice. Glad you are waiting on God to show you and Damon where you should be.

Okay, after 25 comments I think we all deserve a new post from you Becki. All in favor say "I". Can't wait to see your pictures and here about life at the "Horne Home". :) Oh, I started my blog for about the same reasons. I figured with the baby coming and all it would be easier to tell people "look at my blog" rather then promise an email with pictures that I never get around to.

Anonymous

Okay, wow! I just figured out who Canadian okie is! Bro. Ray!!! Wow. I look at your blog and well...Becki definitely has you beat. :) But it's nice to know that you are hip with "blogging". Becki, you have a way of bringing people out of the wood work! :)

I concur with that recommendation! The Canadian Okie says that his blog is really boring because he doesn't know how to do this blogging thang. hee hee! Don't look at me, I'm not teaching him how to use it. We would like to keep our home nice and peaceful! ~grin~

4 hours behind GMT. ha ha You've met me in person on multiple occassions but not for at least 3 years. I'm probably long since forgotten... (enough of a hint) :-)

Alright, Michelle -- you've blown your cover! I've got you pegged now!!! I suspected it was you, but the "4 hours behind GMT" thing gave you away. (Do you have any idea how long it took me to find out what GMT even IS?!) The *snowflake* thing was helpful, too, Alaska Girl. So HA! You are no longer anonymous, so take the time to write and tell me how in the world you are!

After all that, I really HOPE I'm right!!! It really is Michelle... isn't it?!?!?

Anonymous

Who knows? (GMT was too big a hint huh?) Shhh... I really don't know any of you people. ;-)

Nobody else I know is clever enough to have come up with GMT... and live in an area four hours behind it. In any case, shoot me an e-mail and tell me how you are, where you are, and what's new with you! I've thought of you so often and prayed for you. And relax -- I'm pretty sure you and I are the only two people who go back to this same old post from nearly three weeks ago. So chances are your identity is still a secret to the masses!

Sorry you guys, but I figured out that it was Michelle after reading her hints too. I'm probably one of the few who are so terribly bored as to go to the beginning to see if any other comments have been made! Hee hee!
